How to use Chalky Finish Furniture Paint
Ensure the surface is free of dust, dirt and grease. Remove any loose peeling or flaking paint. Shake paint pot before use.
Something Painted™ Chalky Finish Furniture Paint adheres to almost any surface, and there is rarely any need to sand before painting.
Apply paint evenly and remove paint drips for a smooth look. The paint is touch dry in about 30 minutes and can be re-coated after approx. 1 hour. It is recommended for maximum results that 2 – 3 coats of paint is applied.
When completely dry, sand over with fine sandpaper for a smooth finish. Use a course sandpaper to distress your piece. Wipe over with a dry cloth.
Don’t forget that colours can be mixed i.e. Antique White can be used to lighten colours.
Rinse brushes in water and hang upside-down to dry to increase longevity.
